Dockside Marina

“We stayed at Dockside for one night in June. Definitely a great location. However on top of the expensive berth rental I was charged $100 deposit for the keys. This was supposed to be refunded to my account. I have sent text and email to the manager but no response. Definitely be wary about giving your credit card details to this marina.”

“AVOID THIS MARINA IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! I did not end up staying at this marina, however did have the very unfortunate experience of dealing with the manager 'Ken' – one of the rudest, unprofessional and deceptive people I have ever come across. Despite the many negative online reviews, I made an enquiry for a short term 15m berth stay in April 2026, and accepted the exorbitant daily rates due to the central CBD location. I was told by the manager Ken that a credit card would be required to hold a reservation, which I reluctantly provided subject to being sent the marina terms and conditions for my acceptance, together with an invoice and credit card authority for payment. None of this was subsequently sent to me, however I realised some weeks later that the manager had charged my credit card on the day of my enquiry the full amount without any authority. I rang to complain, cancel the booking and request a refund, after which I was very rudely told by Ken that the marina had a ‘no refund’ policy. I said I did not accept this and that no authority had ever been provided by me for him to charge my card. Rather than him attempting to be even slightly helpful, he maintained his rudeness, was completely argumentative and chose to continually speak over me. I followed up via email, however, was never provided with a response by Ken/the marina. “The most poorly managed and overpriced marina in QLD that we've been to so far and we've been to a lot. Payment is upfront when you book, no other marina requests this. The walkways are Unsafe and most pedastal lights do not work. No free parking ($27 for 12hrs available), no trolleys, the party pontoon is a joke and dangerous. Berths are bare timber, no rubbers and most concrete is completely broken. We would never have booked had we known what it was like and will NEVER stay again.”
