“Awesome service to replace halyard. Up the mast in no time at all to do the replacement. Great on the phone and in person. Highly recommend.”

“I LIKE FIS”
“We stopped in because my daughter needed a new fishing rod and Dan couldn’t of been more helpful. Helped us pick out the right one, rigged it up for us, grabbed some bait then went down the road for a fish. My daughter pulled in 2 decent sized Bream and she was stoked. Great way to spend a Sunday. Highly recommend.”
“Staff and service is absolutely astounding very helpful with knowledge and sorting out and ordering parts for boating and fishing very kind people 100% will recommend”
Thanks Eamon, I hope you are able to get out there now and catch some monsters!
“Incredibly knowledgeable and fantastic service. Dan re-rigged my Northshore yacht with full mast refurbishment. My tired old mast, spars and rig now looks brand new, plus he took the time to show me how to maximise the performance when sailing in different conditions. The boat looks and sails fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the result”
Bathurst Harbour (Port Davey system), in south‑west Tasmania, is a vast, almost land‑locked estuarine harbour inside the Southwest National Park and World Heritage Area. It offers a remote, sheltered anchoring environment protected from the Roaring Forties, but demands careful planning, an awareness of marine‑reserve rules, and a willingness to operate in shallow, tannin‑stained waters. Best suited to experienced coastal cruisers and small expedition yachts prepared for self‑sufficiency, Bathurst Harbour is more a place to linger and explore on foot and by tender than a port of call for busy,
Plan as a chain of conservative daily legs tied to your boat’s real-world fuel and speed in the expected sea state, with confirmed primary and alternate anchorages/berths, fuel legs and back-up fuel options, and a documented emergency/diversion plan (comms, tow and med-evac). Build tidal and weather gates into each leg and carry chart and comms redundancy.

Explore →Rig and de-rig a small dinghy by following a consistent, step-by-step sequence: prepare the boat on shore, fit spars and foils in a stable order, control sails and running rigging so lines don’t tangle, check fittings and safety gear, and reverse the process when coming ashore—always working with a partner when possible and staying aware of wind and tide.
