“One of the best Storages places on the Peninsula and Melbourne to be honest. Their prices are great and offer 100% security. We were there only for a short time but Lou was fantastic he took our trailer in and brought it out when needed. Great communication when needed. 100% recommended. And would use them again in the future if I needed. Thank you”
Thankyou Tracey for your kind words we loved having you on site.
“What a sensational facility that Lou has created. And the steady growth of the business shows that he is a customer focused businessman. I stored our boat there a year or two back - and now our caravan. Access is always easy, security is high on Lou's focus, and a clean and organised yard is the result. Oh, and Lou now has n LGP bottle filling service. If you need a storage solution for your caravan, motorhome, trailer, or even tiny house I can assure you that the Peninsula Boat and Caravan Storage facility will meet and exceed your expectations - and them some. Thanks.”
That is so kind Neil we really do appreciate it when customers recognise the effort we put in. Take care and thanks for storing with us.

Dangar Island sits in the lower Hawkesbury River close to Brooklyn and is one of Sydney’s small, boat‑access communities. From the water it reads as a wooded, low island with sandy foreshore, a public jetty and private moorings; its position at the mouth of Cowan Creek and close to the main river channel makes it an attractive short‑cruise destination for trailer sailors, runabouts and small cruisers but also one that requires careful local knowledge and respect for resident berths, ferry operations and tidal currents.
A regular, layered maintenance routine combining hull cleaning, targeted anti-fouling management, cathodic protection and systems checks will substantially reduce marine growth and corrosion for boats kept year‑round in South Australian waters. Focus on preventing attachment and electrochemical attack, then inspect and act more often if you’re in warm, nutrient-rich or high‑traffic sheltered waters.
Explore →Maybe — it depends. In NSW you often need registration and a boat operator licence for motorised vessels, but many small trailerable sailing dinghies without engines don’t require boat registration or a licence. Check the specific rules for your craft, trailer and engine.
Explore →Use ramps and beaches with respect for local conditions: check ramp layout, tide and swell, wind direction, vehicle access and crowding; prepare boat and crew before you launch or retrieve; and follow local signage, courtesy and safety practices. Specifics vary by ramp and beach, so confirm details for the exact site before you go.
Explore →Pick a ramp that matches your boat size and trailer setup, has safe approach and exit conditions (depth, slope, surface), good onshore parking and flow, and follow simple ramp etiquette: queue, help others, rig off the trailer when clear, and secure your vessel quickly.
