Really helpful, not out to just take my money. After a brief chat was recommended to buy a new one, with no pressure. The one I have, had circuit board issues is about 10 + years old and well and truly used. To repair the cost would be $460 and will still have an old auto pilot. It was suggested to consider buying a new one for $700 with no pressure at all. Said that I should have a think about it and let them know they will hold of repairing the old Raymarine 1000 till I get back to them. Thank you guys will be buying a new one.

I recently dealt with Raymarine Support when an Axiom MFD failed 2 months after the warranty expired. Although I was disappointed that the equipment failed in the first place, I understand that with electronics, sometimes this just happens. The dealer in Brisbane inspected it and declared it irreparable. I then dealt with the support staff at Raymarine (Nyree) who collected the relevant information from me, along with receipts and installation details. They were very easy to deal with and replaced the unit without fuss, even though it was out of warranty. It was refreshing to receive such good service from a company that clearly stands behind the quality of their product. It seems not so common these days, so I was very impressed. The replacement unit arrived at the dealer the very next day after the phone call from Raymarine telling me they were honouring the warranty. Great stuff.
