“I have dealt with Steve and Simone on several occasions now and their knowledge has been invaluable!! I cannot recommend them enough They are very friendly and professional and when I upgrade my boat again I will definitely be using them again.”
“In the process of purchasing a cruising catermaran we have commissioned a couple of yacht surveys and reviewed a few others. The quality of the survey done by Steve Larkin for us exceeded all previous in our experience. We will be using Steve for any future survey work we need, no question! Steve kept us informed, met all of his commitments to actions as promised and is a delight to work with. Thanks Steve.”
“My partner and I have been really impressed by Steve's expertise and professionalism. We actually learnt a lot from him and are very grateful for that. During all the survey process, he ensured he was meeting our demands and expectations, showed us details about the boat and ensured we didn't have more questions or concerns. The report was delivered very promptly, was highly detailed and professional. We would highly recommend him and definitely ask him to survey our next potential boat! Thanks again Steve.”
“I recently purchased a sailing catamaran in Cairns, and asked Steve Larkin to perform the survey for me. He had been recommended by a friend who had used Steve's services in the past. This is the first time I have purchased a boat and commissioned a survey. Steve explained the process well, and provided good advice on the various survey options for my particular boat. Steve was flexible in fitting in with my work schedule, as well as communicating with the seller and making all necessary arrangements for lifting the vessel out of the water. I am especially grateful that he was able to rearrange his schedule at the last minute to fit in with last minute changes to the boat yard lifting schedule. During the survey, Steve attended with his assistant Simone, both of whom were very thorough in their work, while at the same time having an excellent demeanour in their interactions with the owner of the vessel - although they had lots of questions they were always made in a positive way that kept the seller on side. I attended the inspections and was impressed in the way that issues were noted and explained, with advice on whether these issues were significant, and what needed to be done about them. The report provided was very detailed but easy to read and understand. I would certainly use this surveyor again and highly recommend Russ Larkin & Associates. Regards Emile Kurukchi, Cairns.”
“Great service, always happy to help especially at short notice. Thanks a lot Steve! You're a life saver :)”
Deen Maar (the island and adjacent coastal region off south‑west Victoria) is a small but significant offshore island and coastal protected area offering dramatic cliffs, important seabird and seal habitat, cultural values for Gunditjmara and Eastern Maar Traditional Owners, and a clear contrast between exposed Bass Strait seascape and the comparatively sheltered waters inside the Moyne/Port Fairy approaches. From the water it is best treated as an ecological and cultural landmark rather than a place for casual landings: recreational boating activity is concentrated at Port Fairy, Killarney, Y
Warranties, returns and repairs for boating gear bought overseas depend on the seller’s terms, the manufacturer’s international support, and your rights under Australian consumer law — expect longer timeframes, extra cost for shipping and customs, and possible limits on local repairs. Always check the seller’s returns policy and the manufacturer’s warranty before buying.
