Marine services in Launceston

Online sailing store

Tamar Marine is a Tasmanian online chandlery serving boat owners from Launceston. It is a straightforward place to check for everyday boating supplies, maintenance consumables, replacement fittings and basic deck gear, with local phone and email support when you want to confirm stock or suitability before ordering.

Sailing club

Tamar Yacht Club traces its founding to 1837, making it — by its own account — the oldest yacht club in the Southern Hemisphere. From its clubhouse and slipyard at Park Street in Launceston and its 100-berth marina and clubhouse at Beauty Point, it runs youth learn-to-sail, inshore, coastal and offshore racing, SailPass and motor boat licence training.
