Sailing club

Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (QCYC) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit keelboat club based at Sinbad Street, Shorncliffe on Brisbane’s bayside. Founded in 1948 to create an ocean race from Brisbane, QCYC is best known as the host and registered trademark holder of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race (B2G). The club operates a 62-berth marina and hardstand, a Sinbad Street clubhouse with bar and restaurant trading on selected days, and an active calendar that mixes club racing, night series, passage events and traditional gatherings such as the Vintage Yacht Regatta.

Sailing club

Sandgate Yacht Club is a community-focused sailing club based on Cabbage Tree Creek at 95 Allpass Parade, Shorncliffe (Bramble Bay / Moreton Bay), Queensland. Founded 14 February 1912, the club runs regular keelboat and dinghy racing across the September–April season, provides cost-free sail training and junior development, supports inclusive sailing for people with disability, and maintains a long local rescue and safety tradition. The clubhouse overlooks Moreton Bay and the club launches boats from a private ramp and pontoon onto Bramble Bay race areas.
