“Don’t go past Lux Custom Boats! Forget about the big name brands where your boat will be the same as everyone else and quickly outdated with new models. Custom design your boat with Lux and receive a boat that for me has been the talk of the boat ramps. From the beginning James gave me the best customer service that put me in control of what I wanted. He and his team were open to anything and also saved me money on things in their experience were not needed. (Ie trim tabs were not needed because of the excellent reverse chimes) they built in. I questioned myself daily on the spend of a new boat until I received my 6.5 hard top. If I had more money I would have paid more. I cannot be happier with the stability and power and just how proud I am of my new Lux boat The entire experience with James, Ayden and the workers at the factory were incredible. They treated the boat like it was their own and were so excited when owners turned up for a viewing.. I may sound a bit over the top, but the Lux crew and their boats are seriously; over the top fantastic. Couldn’t be happier. Chris”
“I searched for a top quality aluminum boat for about 12 months and looked at all the top brands. I came across Lux Custom boats and got boating expert opinions on their boats and they where stunned, could not fault it. Having tested many aluminum boats in my search for my dream fishing boat and having had a heavy fibre glass boat I thought I would never find an aluminum boat to ride anywhere near close to the ride on my fibre glass boat but let me tell you it is absolutely mind blowing. I can assure anyone considering an incredible aluminum fwd cabin or center console fishing boat you will not find one better riding and value for money than the Lux brand. I have the 7.7m and even if a had a choice of buying another boat today I wouldn’t go past Lux Custom boats! We’ll design and massive deck space! The service during and after sales with James, Song and their team will bring you back when customer service was paramount to a successful business. Lux has nailed it!! Nothing is too much effort. Though a young brand for recreational fishing boats (they have been building commercial boats for 30plus yrs and their experience in the industry is unrivaled) it is up there with the very best designed and locally built aluminum boats. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed.”

There are legal obligations in Western Australia for recreational boat owners and skippers covering vessel registration, carriage of safety equipment and general skipper responsibilities, but the exact requirements depend on vessel type, size, where you sail and whether the vessel is commercial or recreational. Check the Western Australian Department of Transport (DoT WA) and the national authority for the precise checklist that applies to your boat and voyage.
