Definition
Co-tidal lines connect points where high water of a given constituent occurs at the same time, normally labelled in hours relative to the Moon's transit of the Greenwich meridian. Co-range lines connect points of equal amplitude for that constituent. They appear on Admiralty co-tidal charts and are used offshore, away from standard ports, to interpolate tidal height for oil-field, survey and deep-draught passage work.
