Definition
Also called a modified lateral or bifurcation mark, it takes the colour and shape of the side it should be treated as, with a single broad horizontal band of the opposite colour. In Region A, a red can with a green band means preferred channel to starboard, so leave it to port to follow the main channel. The light is composite group flashing, Fl(2+1), in the body colour, a rhythm reserved exclusively for these marks.
