Definition
Topmark is two black cones, both points downward. The body is yellow above black, following the downward cones. The light is white VQ(6) plus long flash every 10 seconds, or Q(6) plus long flash every 15 seconds. The long flash, of not less than two seconds, is essential: it distinguishes six quick flashes from the nine of a west cardinal when counting is uncertain in a seaway. Safe water lies to the southward.
