Definition
Standard ports in Admiralty Tide Tables and nautical almanacs have tabulated times and heights of high and low water for every day of the year, plus a mean spring and neap tidal curve for interpolation between them. Predictions are given in the port's time zone with a stated zone correction, so daylight saving must be applied by the user. All secondary port calculations are referred to a nominated standard port.
