Definition
Regional yacht almanacs combine tide tables and tidal stream atlases for the covered coasts, port entry directions with harbour plans, lights and waypoints, radio and weather schedules, distance tables, first aid and a condensed reference on the COLREGs and buoyage. Reeds publishes editions for Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and elsewhere. They abridge the official publications, so for commercial or high latitude passages the full Admiralty volumes remain the authority.
