Because ENC data is an object database, placing the cursor on a feature and requesting a pick report returns its full attribute list: the light's character, period, range, sectors and elevation, a buoy's colour and topmark, a wreck's depth and whether it is dangerous, or an area's restrictions. This is the only way to see much of the information encoded in the cell, since the symbol on screen deliberately shows only a summary.
