Chart data is distributed as an exchange set containing a catalogue file listing the cells, the base cell files, and sequential update files that must be applied in unbroken order. A missed update leaves the cell out of sequence and the system will refuse further updates until the base is reloaded. New editions and re-issues replace the base cell entirely. Weekly delivery by media or download keeps the folio corrected, and a status report should be checked.
