Definition
Charted as conspic or Conspic beside the object, sometimes as the fuller Fl conspic for a prominent structure. Typical examples are churches with towers or spires, chimneys, water towers, monuments and radio masts. The symbol includes a position circle or dot marking the exact point to which bearings should be taken, since the printed symbol itself is not to scale. Objects merely charted without the annotation may be hard to identify among similar features ashore.
