Definition
Each diamond marks a position where tidal streams were observed, labelled with a capital letter in a magenta diamond outline. The corresponding table on the chart lists, for each hour from six before to six after high water at a stated standard port, the set in degrees true and the rate in knots at springs and at neaps. Interpolate between the spring and neap columns using the range on the day. The data applies only near the diamond itself.
